Biography
Clarissa Zomer is an architect, master, and PhD in Civil Engineering, with extensive experience in BIPV systems. With over 20 years of experience in this field, Clarissa brings solid and comprehensive knowledge.
Throughout her career, she worked as a researcher at the FOTOVOLTAICA UFSC Group for 17 years, where she developed her academic research and contributed to significant advancements. Her academic journey includes a sandwich PhD in Singapore, further enriching her expertise.
With a portfolio of projects totaling over 70 MWp of architecturally integrated photovoltaic systems, Clarissa is internationally recognized for her publications, which include over 50 articles in journals and conferences. Additionally, she shares her knowledge as a postgraduate professor at several universities.
Clarissa is the founder of Arquitetando Energia Solar, a consultancy and solar architecture project company, and co-founder of Integre Sustentabilidade. In 2022, she was appointed Director of BIPV – Photovoltaics in Architecture and Construction at ABGD, followed by her appointment as Director of Architectural Projects at Garantia Solar in 2023. Clarissa is also an opinion columnist for PV Magazine Brasil where she shares her insights on the latest trends and developments in the photovoltaic industry for solar architecture.
With extensive experience as a speaker, Clarissa has delivered over 40 lectures in the past 3 years, being recognized as a national reference in BIPV systems. Her passion for teaching and practical expertise is a valuable asset for students of solar architecture courses.
